We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't use it to build profiles to sell to third parties. We don't use your private wrlds to train AI models. Your innrwrld is yours — and that includes everything inside it.
1. Who we are
innrwrld is a taste-based social bookmarking platform. We build tools for curators — people who save, organize, and share links in curated collections called wrlds. We are the company behind innrwrld.com, our installable web app (PWA), and our browser extensions.
2. What we collect
We collect only what we need to make innrwrld work.
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. That's it. No phone number required.
Content you save
The links, wrlds, and collections you create are stored on our servers so we can display them to you and, where you've made them public, to others. Browser extensions only collect the link you choose to save — nothing else.
Usage data
We collect basic information about how you use innrwrld — which features you use, when you log in, and how the app performs. This helps us fix bugs and improve the product. It does not include the content of your wrlds unless you've made them public.
Device and browser information
Standard technical information like your browser type, operating system, and IP address. Used for security and to keep the service running properly.
Affiliate activity (VIP Curators and Founding Curators)
If you use Favorite Things, we collect click and conversion data on your affiliate links so we can display earnings insights to you. This data is yours. We do not receive personal information from merchants about who purchased what.
3. What we never do
This is the part that matters most.
- We never sell your data.
- We never share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
- We never serve ads.
- We never build behavioral profiles for sale.
- We never read the content of your private wrlds. Private means private.
- We never use your private wrlds to train AI models.
4. How we use what we collect
We use your information to:
- Operate and maintain your account
- Display your wrlds to you and, where you've set them to public, to others
- Power your affiliate insights dashboard (VIP Curators and Founding Curators)
- Send you emails you've asked for — password resets, account notifications, product updates if you've opted in
- Detect and prevent fraud and abuse
- Improve the product based on how it's used

5. Platform affiliate tags (Free Curator tier)
On the free Curator tier, innrwrld may attach its own affiliate tags to outbound links where affiliate programs exist — music services, book retailers, product links, and similar. This happens silently in the background. It does not change your experience, does not expose your data to third parties, and does not place any ads or promoted content in your feed.
When you upgrade to VIP Curator, all affiliate tags switch to yours. You earn from those links. We no longer do.
We surface this as an optional insight in your free account: how many clicks your links received, and what you would have earned as a VIP Curator. This is purely informational and never a paywall or a popup.
6. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies to keep you logged in and to make the product work. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We do not use cross-site tracking.
Any analytics we use is privacy-preserving and never tied to your identity.
7. Who we share data with
We work with a small number of trusted service providers to operate innrwrld:
- Cloud hosting — to store your data securely
- Email delivery — to send you account emails
- Payment processing — to handle VIP Curator subscriptions (we never see or store your full card details)
- Analytics — aggregate, anonymized product usage only
All service providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing their service to us.
We do not sell access to this data. We do not let these providers market to you.
8. Your wrlds and privacy settings
Every wrld you create starts private by default. You control who sees it.
Closed Doors (Private)
Only you. This wrld is fully closed. Nothing inside is visible to anyone else.
Invitation Only — Requests Allowed
Invite-only, with requests. People can request access. You approve who enters.
Invitation Only — No Requests
Invite-only, no requests. Only people you explicitly invite can view this wrld.
Open House (Public)
Open to everyone. Your wrld is visible in the Town Square and discoverable by anyone.
You can change the privacy setting of any wrld at any time. Making a wrld private immediately removes it from public view.
9. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your data
- Opt out of any non-essential communications
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@innrwrld.com. We will respond within 30 days.
10. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, and remove wrlds and links from our servers within 24 hours, except where legally required to retain billing records.
Anonymized, aggregate usage data may be retained indefinitely for product improvement.
11. Security
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard practices to protect against unauthorized access. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours safe.
12. Content safety checks
To keep innrwrld safe, we may automatically scan saved content for explicit sexual material, violence, or other restricted content. These checks are automated and do not involve humans reviewing your private wrlds.
13. Children
innrwrld is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us at privacy@innrwrld.com and we will delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email and update the date at the top of this page. We will never change our core commitment: we do not sell your data.
